Maurice is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, The King’s Inns and the Law Society. He qualified as a barrister in 1996 and subsequently as a solicitor in 2008. Having recently returned to practice as a solicitor he is also a qualified Mediator and Arbitrator. Maurice
practised as a barrister for nearly twenty years and has appeared before all courts and most tribunals.
Maurice describes himself as “primarily a trial lawyer with a practical common sense approach, who fights as hard as he can for his clients”. He has a wide range of experience in Commercial/Company Law, Personal Injury Law, Employment Law, Family Law and General Practice.
He has served as Chairperson of the Private Security Authority, as a member of Criminal Injuries Compensation Tribunal and as a member of the Health Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
Maurice has a particular interest in the training of Expert and Ordinary Witnesses, He has delivered courtrooms skills course across a wide range of the public and private sector. He also ran quasi judicial training courses for the Labour Court and Equality Tribunal.
Maurice is a fluent German speaker
